He directed ORDINARY PEOPLE and won an Oscar for it. It was a great film:
*Noteworthy for not having a lot of action shots.
...It was more about character portrayal.
...He wanted Timothy Hutton to be edgy on-screen. So, he told the other actors to not talk to Tim off-set.
...Robert advised Judd Hirsch (the shrink) to be the only one to talk to Tim off-set. It worked. Tim connected with Judd on-screen...and was mostly distant to the other characters.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
