Thanks Chucky for doing this! Congrats to the winners! Yeah a little late I know.... lots of stuff going ..... surprised I was kinda close!

2) Happy 2026. Hope your horses are doing well.
3) In process of getting guys paid out.
4) Results were tough this year. Below break-even. *Only two guys had anti-Chiefs. *Some real surprise teams made the Playoffs. Not always like that.
5) Plan is to do it again this year. Will try to be better organized this time.

1) Already have some donations. I'll be matching that $$ 1-for-1.

3) I mangled the organization a bit this year.* (*One asterisk was the very late Parsons trade. I didn't want guys playing into stale odds).
4) If there are 50 invitees, hope for maybe 30 entrants.

I'll think about the best WCup format. Tricky part might be the 32/48 advancement. I wish they put MORE emphasis on the Group stage. IE: Bigger groups, MORE Group-stage games and shorter knockout. As is, the 32/48 is going to change the steam on the Group games.

That would be really generous of you! I think this tournament is shaping up to be one of the bigger ones in a long time, especially with games happening in both the US and Canada.

Yeah, I get what you mean. The 32/48 advancement definitely changes the stakes for the group stage—less pressure to perform early on. I actually like the idea of bigger groups and more group-stage games too; it’d make the early matches more meaningful and maybe even more exciting before the knockout rounds.

I’m really curious to see who comes out on top in that playoff qualifier between Italy and Northern Ireland—I’m hoping Northern Ireland pulls through. And I can’t believe some of the countries that made it, like Haiti, for example!

Yes, sir, pack. It will be an interesting tournament. But there are a few things people don't grasp:

1) World Cup comes AFTER the long club season.
...Many of these players will be carrying injuries. Some will miss, some will be running on fumes.

2) Based on item #1 and SHORT training-camps, it's not the best futbol.

3) Would love to see eight 6-team groups.
...Think about how nice it would be to see five group games, where top two advance.
...I hate the 3rd-place rule. Some of the top-teams are very likely to progress.

Pack, I'll give you a few other thoughts. I know you love these contests:

1) (CollBASK) Men's tournament is coming up. You know we love our March Madness tournament.

2) (Women's NCAA) Women's Hoops has been gaining in popularity. This year, however, UConn may be lapping the field.

3) (NCAA Wrestling) Mark this one down as a hidden gem. You have to be a stud to make the podium (top 8) in this tournament. It's a little favorite-heavy. But WHEN the upset hits, you say "Wow!"
