Obsession??

I'm having a hard time figuring out everyone's obsession with JJGOLD. He's a poster like all others. I have no ill will, but it would appear that 1 out of every 2 threads here are about him.... Just wondering.

Part real admiration, part sarcasm, part PR related, part pure dislike.

JJ, intentionally sets himeslf up to appeal to many people in different ways. The most serious of people will ignore JJ all together or at least sneek a peek to see what he is doing this time but never comment on him. The majority of us though can't help but respond either possatively or negatively because he's just so recognizable and we can't control the urge.

I spent my early part of Players Talk time praising and defending JJ. After enough time I saw aspects of his act that appeared irresponsible at best considering there are those amongst us who either have or the potential to have serious addiction issues. So I took issues with him about specific things.

Most of what I do with JJ is just messing around and trying to start something for entertainment purposes. I do actually respect the amount of time and the relentless amount of material he is able to put out on a continuous basis. Myself and others give him crap about being old and played out and needing new material but lets face it, if you have been doing this as long as he has there probably isn't much material left that hasn't been done at one time or another.

I think alot of the people in here are big time losers... I do not just meaning in betting...I mean in life. JJ gives them hope, a flash of light, a laugh. They see JJ in themselves... JJ is always worth a good laugh...this is what they are always looking for.
