ya it looks like it might have been good from 72 as well. Hard to say from that angle. I remember not long ago there were only a couple kickers kicking 50+. Now pretty much all kickers can.

They play in Denver later this year. I bet his breaks the NFL record then.

Might favor the over in their games if so. More scoring by them and more field position for opposition when they miss

only if the conditions are right just like last night's game where there is a couple seconds left in the 2Q or 4Q. It could happen. The balls travel 5+ yards further in Denver.

Ya its a joke. If its a touchback indoors, ball starts at 35, you need 12 yards to attempt a game winner !?
Roger goodell needs to address this, because this is a problem.
They need to add a 5 yard scrimmage tax(on field goal attempts. This the only thing which can slow this progress down.
Aubrey and this new guy, make a fg , dead centre from the 50, a 7.5/10 proposition.
That shouldnt change a game result, 12-15 yards of offense to score points.

1) If you go back in time, the FGs were very dubious.
2) Super Bowl 3 was really decided on the (inept) play of the BALT QB/Kicker.
3) Funny story. Before he passed, Bubba Smith really thought that Morrall (and maybe the kicker) may have been in on a fix. It was a HUGE upset.

i mean im not saying at all , take it out of the game, of course its a Paramount point to the game, but imagine say like everyone made a free throw at 98% in nba, wouldnt/shouldnt they move the line back a few feet further,
Original rules back then im SURE, didnt account for FG kickers to evolve from max 50 to MAX 72
