We were told that JJGold moved to another site a few years back and took with him all the annoying posters. Much better crowd here now at SBR.

It says I've been here since 2006, but I think it's been longer. I think when they switched the website over it started everyone from that date.

Buying 5dimes cash for points was a big deal.

After that being able to buy btc was still pretty good. But after the sbr book/casino shut down and points went away that was it. The contests are still great however.

I think you got it. SBR was on top when:
1) Poker was active
2) BTP was a popular contest, and
3) (I'd add) the Points system was in play.

One comment on the Points system. Nobody was getting RICH off the points system. But it was nice. Could buy yourself a hamburger. And it was nice for giving gifts, too.

You could eat a couple pizzas every week back then without doing much anything. Just log in and win points in contests or poker. The downfall was a handful of poker players cheated by rolling the points over with collusion. Then they had to take it away from the 99% who played fair for fun. Also some shenanigans with collussion on BTP where players shared plays.

All is well for the most part - will look for any other interesting bets. Grabbed a little Rams to win SB at 1700 but I don’t think that’s a great number. I’ll be back more when football starts or gets closer.

Have been pondering the NFC futures. Will give one comment on why I'm only luke-warm on the Rams: *Niners off a down-year. Gives the Niners a much easier schedule.
...Rams won the Division. So, they get a tougher schedule. They have to play DET/Phi etc.
...Don't get me wrong. I hate the Niners. Those guys can't wait to squeeze every penny.

I'm now taking one stance on Pre-season. When I see a team that has multiple players holding out, I will look hard at fading that team. Tells me that the players think they run the ship and that they don't care.

True but the Rams had to play Detroit and Philly last year too. SF got rid of so many players I’m just not sure how they don’t have another down year. CMC is injury prone and Aiyuk is coming off a bad injury. Kittle is getting old. I think they have a new DC as well. Who knows, the NFL is a war of attrition most years so depth and coaching are huge. I expect the Rams D to be even better this year and offense should be as good or better with Adams joining the receiving corps. The O line will show improvement as well. I’m ready!
