My humble opinion = good SALE by the Buss family.
...My rationale is going to be counter-intuitive.
...Pro sport franchises have been going UP for 40+ years.
...My logic is that the economic downturn impacts the fans. They CAN'T afford luxury items like tickets. Have to pay for essentials first.
...Player salaries can't go up forever. I think the Buss family got out at the right time. Also, Lakers don't appear to be title contenders for a while.
