Under 58 1H
Under 126.5 for game
I like the under here. Scores have been much higher than years past so I can see why most of the money is on the over. Public all over this game to fly the total. While playing a total this low is always risky in this day and age I have a hard time seeing where all the scoring is going to come from. Houston is the #1 defense in the nation only allowing 58 ppg vs the Voles who are also great defensively only allowing 62 ppg. I can see this one being played in the 50s with how well both teams defend. Both teams could find it hard getting quality shots vs each others set defenses.
The only way this gets over is both teams shoot the lights out or the refs take over the game and send both teams to the line all game long. If refs let them play "defensive" basketball then both are going to have a real challenge making shots consistently imo. Neither team has world beaters on offense so I see this as a grind all game long with both team using much of the shot clock to get shots off.
Obviously if this is a game where all of a sudden Houston hits 3s, transition defense is lacking, or fouls mount it won't be a good thing. But I see this as both defenses rise to the challenge and both offenses struggle especially early with the magnitude of this game and nerves get the better of both.
