Credit gives you more leverage but way more pressure and discipline.

I prefer credit because of the personal relationships built and perks involved when you develop the friendship and trust factor.

It really would make no difference to me. I have a credit line at one book but rarely use it and I post up at the other 40 or so books which I use with any regularity.
It really comes down to the individual (a bit like credit cards and overdrafts). Some have the discipline to handle them, whilst others don´t.
The bottom line is that you should not take credit for anything unless you have the means to cover your liabilities.

when you have money in account whether its credit or posting up, it seems like play money, u make a bet and the money alrdy is out, so u can have 1000, bet 500 and theres 500 in there, like nothint
it's dangerous

Not a big fan of credit with gambling. Like investing the benefit of credit (i.e. leverage) must outweigh the cost of that credit (i.e. interest/broken legs) for it to be worthwhile.

I'm in the same boat. Don't need the added pressure.

I have the option to bet both ways. I have no interest in betting with credit. I have no trouble keeping my book always funded.

Betting with credit is looking for trouble. Everyone here says they can control their habits but my guess is a small percent really can.

its fine if you have the disposable income to back it up if/when you lose. I got destroyed essentially doing this.

You can come back within a week if your down or go down even more if you play local but playing online is too much hassle for me. I drive 5 minutes on friday collect the envelope and go home happy. I dont have time for all of the nonsense of online and all the lures of the other betting options. Its not for everyone for sure but it limits you and if you have control you are okay.

Credit is way too dangerous. No reason to ever bet on credit unless you have 100% sure fire money coming in by the time payday rolls around.

If you bet on credit, you've probably already planned to stiff, otherwise you'd post up. Period

I bet 90% on credit. Love it. Just hate the losing weeks and having to drive to settle.

Credit betting is not for 99% of the people here. Nothing worse than playing on credit and getting washed out on an 0-5 Sunday.

One of my best friends is old school and turning football/ncaab or whatever he meets his guy on thursday and locks in his bets. He gives an envelope with full bet +vig up front. Next week when he wins he collects that back plus winnings. Never wants to bet what he doesn't have to lose. Needless to say he bets between 3-10k on an nfl game and wins over 6 figures a season. True story. Me personally do not bet on credit.

Betting on credit can be very good, does not tie up money, and it is easier to deal with a local

Never credit..Thats like trading stock on credit..No go ever..Hard enough to keep above 50% and add into the equation interest, not appealing to me at all..But luckily I'm not forced to reload my accounts.

Credit... Keeps the disciplined money management in check! But i have placed wagers with the local, cash up front to be able to collect when the games over!
But I use offshore for small Parlays and Teasers.

I have always bet on credit, only way I feel comfortable at this point because it's what I'm used to. Just like here with this point book, if your 7:00 play hasn't posted before nine you're *ucked!!!
I am much better at picking a large amount of games, any of the guys in the weekly contests can see that. If I have to make 1 pick a day the pressure is too much and I will lose, but 10 a day I'll go 9-1 or 8-2 because there's no pressure.
This style I have makes credit much better for me, hell on my book!!!
