    My Weight Loss Blog...
So I stepped on the scale today and relized it was time to make a personal change. I am currently 6-3 270 lbs and 25 years of age. My goal is to get down to 200 lbs within the next 5 months. I haven't been down to the weight for 5 years or so and I hope by blogging about it on here I can make it happen....Wish me luck!

I was once at 200 and lost down to 160 in about 6 months. I'm back up to 190 now so I'm in the same boat you are bro, gotta get the weight off. I'm a short shi* so 170 is about where I need to be. 190 would be great if I was taller.
I just got lazy & over the past 3 years have gained it back. Here's how I did it & am gonna do it again.

I never crazy worked out ever, but I had an ab lounge. Believe me, that thing kicks ass for building a six pack & doesn't kill your back & knees & works every region of the abdomen way more efficient. I would work about 20 minutes on it 3 times a day sometimes 5 or 6 times a day.

I would walk a just a regular pace on my treadmill for 30 minutes a day. I could walk about a mile & half in 30 minutes. That would get my heart rate up where it needed to be to really start burning fat. When I got off the tread is when I would hit the ab lounge for 20 min.

I would do about 200 pushups a day, 50 at a time & lift light weights, 40 to 50 pound dumbells in each hand. Nothing you need to go to the gym for, but that really built muscle after a months time, but here's the real kicker.

The no carb diet. I kept my carb intake VERY low, any carbs I ate came in the form of vegetables. I ate meat, fish, & salads. No bread, potatoes, or pasta for sure! If you go on the no carb diet you will drop weight quick & all the protein you eat will help build muscle quick which in turn burns more fat. But you cant cheat even a little on this diet.

The reason is you are eating a high fat diet but with no carbs your body burns it easily. If you eat this much fat then throw carbs in on it you will gain a ton. So it is a great diet to lose weight quick & never be hungry. For breakfast I would have an omelette & bacon, I would eat alot of steak & hamburger steaks with some steamed broccoli & cheese. And alot of salads with grilled chicken or whatever. I would go to the market & get fresh catfish or talapia. I would still eat fried stuff but just tried to cut back on it.

Another great thing is a george foreman grill if you eat alot of meat. It cooks quick & drains most of the excess fat out.

Plus at this time in my life I was drinkin' beer like Anheuser Busch was goin out of business! If I hadn't been a beer drinker it would have been alot easier, and i don't drink beer anymore so I'm thinkin by June I can be slim & trim again

No carb diet's good for the purpose as the profit said, but, don't start working out right away the same day you take carbohidrates out of your normal diet. Carbs are the unstored energy the body requires for every single biochemical process within yourself, the idea of the no-carb diet is to have the body use the available energy stored in your adipose tissue (fat), this process takes much more energy ot build the ATP your body requires and therefore comes to be notoriously good since you will be burning fat to burn more fat considering the fact that out of each molecule of fat less ATP will be produced than if it was simple sugar such as our much needed glucose. Be wary though, the moment there's no more fat stored rather than the necessary within your body to live a possible crisis (and this varies amongst individuals) it will start using the proteins available in it and that means muscle. It's suggested this diet is taken as the beggining of a healthy life, maybe a couple weeks burning all the fat you can and then start eating healthy and working out with a balanced diet, working out you will use all the carbs available and since there'll be none left your body will not store it.

1,000% true. I have tried both. You can lose a little weight just dieting but it will take years. With an exercise and strength program the weight will fly off. Good luck!
