I know it's civic day and all up in Canada, but what exactly is Civic day anyways?

Dan, actually not all of Canada has a holiday today. I believe that Quebec, Newfoundland, and the Yukon do not have a holiday today. Basically all it is, is an excuse to give everyone another long weekend in the summer!!!

I didn't even realize it is a holiday. Maybe that's why I haven't been able to reach my computer guy all day.

I've been cursing his negligence but apparently I am the one who is out-to-lunch.

Well, not yet, but we're trying...Need one in June and then we'll move on to conquering any winter months that don't have a day off...

Actually, we probably have only more than the US when it comes to holidays.

European Nations have much more days off for their citizens, in countries like France & Italy, I believe have mandatory (by law) holidays of 5 weeks per employee per year. That plus a 35 hour work week.

Plus they feel the need to continuously strike because they are overworked.
