and Millenium sports are still rated as D to D- books? It's been over a year now and no response to payment,so they are dead. Why are they not blacklisted as F books? Are they still paying out to the forums to keep people quiet? Not so much here, but at the RX if you post anything derogatory about them,it's deleted quick.Just seems strange that those con artist still seem to warrant respect from the forum owners even though they totally ****ed the posters.Any insight would be appreciated.

#2Pretty hard to argue your point.
Hopefully it's just an oversight on SBR's part. I remember they still had a rating for Blue Marlin long after they folded up their tent and as soon as it was pointed out, SBR moved them to F-.
Hopefully SBR will see this and give all those books the "F" they deserve.Comment -

#3Mbenz,
If a book goes under, we stop updating their status. If we updated them, they would receive an F-.Comment -

#4The RX has given up on the illusion they are even a watchdog site. They edit everything fast because of that $10,000 guarantee they hope everyone forgets. I must agree here, they are not even on life support. Is there a blacklisted F-? No more superstar entourages in San Jose from Kap and sis anymore. Let's raise our glasses and toast. #9Maybe there isn't a blacklisted F-,but if there is BOS and all their sister companies should be at the top of the list.Just pisses me off that myself as well as many others got screwed out of some serious money and there is people out there that still try to make a case for those friggin pirates.
This shit sandwich is one of the top 3 in the world!
shit sandwich earned a platinum package rating for taste.
shit sandwiches are publicly traded.
If it tastes like shit we guarantee it for $10,000.

#12We tried to work a deal to replace BOS on theRx with Pinnacle after BOS had started stiffing players. Remember, they were stiffing players well before they ran off with what was left!
TheRx wouldnt pull the trigger. They wanted to be seen honoring contracts no matter what and that they did. In hindsight, they did the right thing. Other rouge books like SBG probably would not advertise there if they thought they could get pulled down simply for stiffing a player. It was a good business decision for them. Not good for the players but the players have learned to ignore their recommendations anyway.Comment -

#13Yes, I remember that well. You could see they were going to go through the motions and pretend to fight for the players, and yet BOS would remain a platinum sponsor, and the fight for the players was another charade. A poor one at that. We talked about that at the time, as you were very disallusioned. I would say that incident led to my having doubts about the RX's integrity. Now all doubts are removed. They still keep sidestepping the $10,000 guarantee. They want everyone on the same RX page, and that is not my style. Never has been, and most likely never will be.Comment -

#16All of the independent thought is repressed. The ACE ACE show gets an encore, it may get very ugly. I've seen ACE threads get 15 posts just edited right out, numbers and all. Even long term posters, the remaining few. It was the second plagiarism bust, the one he played off on some mysterious employee, after admitting he did it to the Gold Sheet, because he was too busy. And it would never happen again. But this current NFL thread, geez talk about overdoing it. If you say anything, post review. Talk bad about the sponsors, post review. Talk bad about certain mods or posters, post reviewed. One poster after another banned or walked. You sort of have to be a blind mute sheep there. You can't see what is going on, and if you could you can't say anything, or out of the flock you go. No dissenters. It is all about ACE being legit, back page of Doc's, and getting the click thrus. It wasn't always like this.Comment -

#18I think the big problem is they floated out that guarantee to get the click thrus and oops, it all goes up in smoke with Kap running the fastest. Mods are singing top 3 shop, Platinum sponsor, publicly traded can't lose. You mention previous dealings by Kap and you get attacked and ridiculed. I did and was. So even some of the members sign up, maybe a bunch. Afterwards it all shakes out that the RX was in BOS back pocket all along from the payola, just like I posted. That's like the retarded relative you don't bring up at family reunions. And if you do it normally has a short cyberlifespan. Best not bring that sore subject up. No posts really disappear, they were never really there. ACE ACE is a class act, I love Ted and the sponsors are the best. I forgot my lines.Comment -

#20I agree with the side-tracked comments about theRX. I have been saying for at least a year that they (and TOW and EOG) don't deserve the loyalty of their membership (except I seem to get moved to the Private Forum here when I discuss it.)
My only comment on that part of the discussion is: what took you so long? (I would guess you are going to say you wanted to fight to make things better rather than just abandon ship. Fair enough.)
Anyway, it looks like all those BOS books are still not F's. I realize people can't deposit but, still, I think they should be listed as F's even if only for appearance sake. It kind of looks like SBR doesn't know what's going on.Comment -

#21Actually to even grade them is wrong since they no longer exist. I think expulsion from truancy. Ol Vanzack got the quick Judas Goat defense like I used to get when I bashed BOS. Was always amusing to get him out, and then the forum BOS ghost defenders attacking me. I guess wil and the ghosts were part of the Platinum package. And of course Fish and his top 3 sportsbook shilling.Comment -

#26There isn't an easy solution. Maybe we need a sportsbook graveyard?
We don't want to put the book at F after the fact when it doesn't matter. We want to give players an idea of how the process works and if we are late on info we want to show it... with our rating history and where the book was when it went off-line.
Posters have a point on BOS. We will give them the rating they deserve to show there isn't a reason to have any hope of getting paid.Comment -

#27Not sure if you meant that as a joke, or were serious about it, but that's exactly what you need ... a section for the books that have gone out of business ... lumping them together with the 'going concerns' just clogs up the list.Comment -

#28Frog and Dozer are right on. We want players to know the book is crap (or gone now), but players should be able to see how the book was rated when it went under.
We need a new classification. How about adding a "before stealing" classification. BetOnSports would now be rated "D- (before stealing, now F-/run list)." It's a tad more work, but will better inform the players while maintaining SBR's prior evaluation. You could use another name for it, but none are as short and descriptive as before stealing.Comment -

#31Of course, I made that for the people that did get burned. Which was everybody in there, getting lead there, by the Judas Goat with a platinum rating and a pied piper playing top 3 book. Even if by some mega-miracle the RX honored their $10,000 guarantee, tough using honored and RX in the same sentence, BOS will still have burned them. But considering the Judas Goat sicks his deputy Tinstarco on anyone that even brings that up, or the threads quickly vanish, I have a feeling that a second degree burn is the end result.Comment -

#33What is a Judas Goat? It is a goat that wanders through the flock, gathering sheep friends to bring to the slaughterhouse. They feed him some crumbs and off he goes to find more. After the ACE ACE show, and wil's protection and favored treatment of him, another poster gave him that tag. Since wil was kind enough to falsely label me a past poster, I thought I should reciprocate, but with something at least fitting. As far as the $10,000 guarantee, it was just smoke and mirrors to get people to sign up. I have no idea who would qualify, or how, even why as I thought it was another Judas Goat ploy to lure the sheep into BOS and would never be honored. But sign up and ask yourself.Comment -

#34Judas goat
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
A Judas goat is a trained goat used at a slaughterhouse and in general animal herding. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them to a specific destination. In stockyards, a Judas goat will lead sheep to slaughter, while its own life is spared. Judas goats are also used to lead other animals to specific pens and on to trucks. The term is a reference to the biblical traitor Judas Iscariot.
That would be wilheim. ACE ACE is the sledgehammer and BOS was the slaughterhouse, but any banner wil do.Comment -
