That bonus should tell you right there that they basically are MBenz.

BetUS complaints are down. We understand that they have aquired a license in Panama. I think the risk in this book has improved.

Could that be because fewer players are playing there?

I won't feel any better if they are raised to a D+ either.

Its possible. We encouraged the other two books there in Panama City to meet with them and try to form a working relation. Afterall, problems at BetUS could possibly spillover and affect them.
They have had their reasons for midnight riding over the past few months. Probably a net positive but makes it hard for the SBR staff to get a handle on. Lets see how the start of football goes. It would be most welcome for the SBR staff to have fewer complaints from BetUS's players, I can assure you that. So we are pulling for them.

After I exhaust A+, A all the way to C- books, nevermind. Moving to Panama? Will they name change to BetPanAm?

Boys and girls, it doesn't matter what their rating is. They have a terrible history of underhanded actions. Are you willing to gamble that your particular funds will/won't be held hostage when they revert back to a failing grade again ??
What are you going to do when the promised large bonus gets dis allowed and your deposit is already in ?
A fool and his money soon parts.

These are good points. Still, books can improve.

When we had BOS rated D and D- we still had a lot of players join from the SBR website. For the longest time I could not understand it. But there are a certain set of players that enjoy the thrill and challenge of beating a seedy operation.
I try to be careful when players ask about these D rated books. SBR tries to give them a fair opinion, a current one.

The thing I can't understand is you still have them rated D .

Thanks IMG, its hard to get time off at this joint.
What is hard to understand? This is a D book that has improved a little. If they continue to improve I'm sure they will go to D+. Still a dangerous place to play.

John....was BetUS ever a solid place to play? I almost sent those guys some money once, after further reading I was glad I didn't. They used to mail me crap all the time.

Mbenz, we usually stop changing a rating when a book is out of business. There is no way to send money. I think it looks suspicious declaring a book dead after the funeral.
BetUS was never-ever safe. The owners are big time gamblers that have slow paid their own bookies in costa rica. Back in the old days if you won big they stiffed you. As SBR and other sites became more popular they tried to limit their stiffing to non-internet players, phone players. We still found out and that practice was watered down.
Then Kevin King arrived there as GM a couple of years ago and things improved. When BOS went down it put added heat on BetUS who was once partners with the BOS owner. BetUS went on the lamb last year and many including myself wondered out loud if they would survive.
Next stop Panama. They high-tailed it out of Canada and shut down part of their Costa Rican operation and disappeared into the underworld for a time. They are finally back to their knees with an office and license in Panama. This could still be a rough period for them but it would appear they are through the worse.
