SBR.tv NCAA Basketball ATS Video Conference Summaries
SBR.tv’s Katy gives a roundup of the year-to-date ATS results in some of the major conferences in college basketball.

    The ACC and Big 12

In the ACC, often overvalued Duke has been a good bet this year, while Florida St has performed badly ATS overall and Miami didn’t come close to making money for their backers once conference play began.

Clemson has been a good under bet this year, and perhaps surprisingly, so has North Carolina.

In the Big 12, Baylor, Kansas St, and Oklahoma St have all been good to bettors, and Colorado has also proven to be undervalued so far in conference play.

Nebraska has been a bad bet so far this year, as has Texas, despite being one of the top teams in the country.

Katy includes further information of interest on how various teams have done recently, in conference play, and the margins of their ATS results.

The Big East and Big 10

In the Big East, Rutgers. Cincinnati, Louisville, and Seton Hall have all performed poorly against the spread.

Villanova and Syracuse, two of the top teams in the country, have also been undervalued this year, and rewarded their backers handsomely. Pittsburgh also notably came on strong once Big East play began.

Villanova, Louisville and Providence have all trended Over this year, while perennially defensive-minded DePaul is perhaps unsurprisingly trending Under.

The Big Ten seems to be an overvalued conference this year, and betting unders has been the way to go once Big Ten conference play began.

Illinois may be the perfect example of this Big Ten tendency to go under; the Illini trended strongly Over in non-conference play, but have come way down to earth since conference play began.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Michigan St have been strong Big Ten under-trenders.

Michigan St leads the Big Ten, but has been a poor bet on the year, as opposed to Northwestern, a lower-tier team in the conference that has nonetheless been the best ATS team out of all of them.

Iowa has done poorly overall one the year ATS, but has been covering impressively of late, and may be a good team to back in the early weeks of February.
