Marquette (+5.5) at UConn
Marquette has 7 losses on the year that combine to 25 POINTS! They have kept the game within 5 points in EVERY game this year outside of one (a 9 point loss at Wisky in December that was actually a close game). They played Syracuse to a 5 point game AT SYRACUSE and West Virginia to a 1 point game AT WEST VIRGINIA. Not to mention only losing AT VILLANOVA by 2 points. They are 3-5 in the Big East because they've played a BRUTAL schedule so far that includes the following:
@ Syracuse, Villanova, West Virginia, DePaul
Home: Villanova, Providence, Georgetown, Rutgers
UConn has had some solid wins lately over Texas and St Johns but I just dont trust my money with these guys. They've had a knack for blowing leads which is the last thing you want if your laying 5.5-6 points.
Vanderbilt (+8.5) at Kentucky
Maybe I'm wrong here but I really believe Vanderbilt will come out with just as much fight as UK. They are leading the SEC right now and have won at South Carolina and Tennessee, two places Kentucky HAVE NOT won at this year. Vandy plays a very distinct style of basketball that quite frankly annoys teams like Kentucky. With the status of star player DeMarcus Thuggins in question, Vandy is the EASY play here to me. Who has Kentucky beat this year? Wins over UConn and UNC teams who were floundering at that time? Wins over Louisville and Florida who arent even NCAA teams right now?
Washington State (+8) at Washington
I'm not an expert on Pac 10 basketball but it seems like the conference is equally bad. I know Washington is solid at home and WSU tends to struggle away from home, but 8 points seems like 2-3 too many. I'd say this game would be a pick withouy location, so is home court advantage really worth 8 points?? Not to mention this is an intrastate game that WSU has covered 4 straight times on the road. Not enough knowledge to really bet this game but very interested as I think WSU is a good play
Georgia (+7) at South Carolina
South Carolina coming off the programs best win will face an improving Georgia team at home Saturday. If South Carolina doesnt come out ready to play, they will lose this game outright. Georgia can play good basketball at times. I think the number should be a little higher but 7 isnt terrible. South Carolina is very one dimensional. The way Kentucky played in that game was absolutely terrible. I would take the road dogs again
