I found it really hard to watch that press conference.

It makes life pretty simple when you ascribe all credit for everything good that happens to God, and similarly point to God for everything bad that happens, as part of his "plan." So then we really don't need to figure out what/when/where/why/how to do anything, correct? It's all "destined" for us -- we all have a "purpose" that will be given to us? That certainly is a nice, tidy package.

Kurt, it was YOU who brought those good things upon YOURSELF. By working hard, by learning, by being a good leader and a good person. And it was SCOUTS who saw you doing this that brought you to the NFL and changed your life... God didn't send the scouts to your arena league games. Life is life, it is not a fairy tale.

Yes, the Kurt Warner, Tebow type seem a little rehearsed to me, but I don't knock them for taking a positive stance and trying to put off a certain image

God gave him the opportunity. Without God, nothing is possible.

I only saw on the TV that he retired but couldn't hear it.

Too bad he called it quits, he is a class act and will be inducted into the HOL no problem.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE athletes who are positive people, who try to be role models and help others and do work in the community... I MUCH prefer good guys to thugs.

I just wish they wouldn't try to tie their goodness to mythologies and archaic texts. I wish people -- especially our role models -- would free their minds from their childhood indoctrinations, and think more rationally and reasonably. This is my opinion.

He will be home all day
His wife will divorce him, Kurt will lose more than 50% and then hates God for everything

You are an atheist, so your views are fundamentally different from his and your statement really doesn't mean much, no offense. If you were a Godly man and said that Tebow deserves to take credit also, then your statement would have more merit.

My only thing is all of these TBN type are always made for t.v. Have u ever seen someone with one leg and no teeth up here talking this stuff, they seem made for t.v. even the t.v./TBN preachers. I have a high school friend who at one point had some type of ministry, the guy was always a bullheaded type guy, so him being headstrong was always a part of his personality, now his headstrong message is just Christianity not Weed, Alcohol, and bitches like it used to be. I believe in a higher being but these religions can go away

No one's views mean any more or any less than anyone else's... I'm simply stating my opinion here. I of course believe it to be the fact-based and thus more rational side of the argument... but in any event I'm just stating one person's opinion. So of course take it for what you will.

Oh I've framed animals before. I framed a raccoon for opening a Christmas present. And I framed a bear for eating out of the garbage.

I come from a long line of fighters. My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War II veteran. Killed 20 men then spent the rest of the war in an allied prison camp. My father battled blood pressure and obesity all his life. Different kind of fight.

I believe Warner unlike others when he says he is retired he won't be making a comeback.

Couldn't agree any more. I don't like when he does it, and I don't like when Tebow does it either.
