Default OT- I need a loan, can anyone please help
Hello everyone,
Before I get started, please no bashing. I'm pretty much swallowing my pride to post this on here...I don't know what else to do.
I am a college student (in my last year) who goes to school full time and also work full time. I have paid for nearly all of my classes this summer, but not all of it. My financial aid office told me I have to pay my summer balance before fall classes start (Aug. 20th) and right now, I don't have the money to do that (and neither do my parents, one a teacher, one a secretary). I have tried everything at my disposal, and none of it has worked. I am so stressed out with school and the lack of money is just making matters worst. With the loan I would also like to pay off the couple of credit cards I have, because just paying the minimium is not helping my credit score at all.
Also, making monthly payments would not be a problem. I have a really good paid internship ($15.00 and hour...good for a college kid) so I bring home $1800 after taxes each month. But, after rent/car (which is 450 a month) I still have alot, that has basically all gone to my summer school loan balance. Also, we could set up monthly payments so that each payment is directly taken from my bank account to yours...I think that would be the best way to do things.
So basically, I am looking for a loan at $6,000 and willing to negotiate the interest rate. I don't want to get murdered on it, but would be willing to have an interest rate at 15% for 36 months.
Trust me, I have tried everything (bank, prosper, etc.) but I do not have enough of a credit history/score to take out any kind of loan, and my parents are maxed out and can't cosign for anything. Plus, time is of the essence as I really need this loan quickly as school is about to start.
