Anyone have a 2009 or 2010 Honda Accord EX-L V6? The wife and I are going to buy a 2010 this weekend and just wanted to know if anyone had comments on their experience with one.

You can`t beat the Accord with the V-6, though I think that they are a little over priced considering that we Americans are finally putting out cars that are comparable, for less money. Still, it is a very nice car...moonroof, plenty of power, leather seats with a tongue in just the right spot to tickle your balls as you drive. The tongue is female, so your wife might need to be flexible when she is driving! And they hold their value. Best of luck no matter what you do.

I agree with PP. I had a late 90's model V6 and my father had a late 2000's model V6 (and a 4-cylinder). Great car with plenty of power to hit the highway/pass, durable, cheap to fix and classy interior/options. As PP said there are plenty of American comparables though. Also, don't buy the "Honda will go for 200k miles" crap, they break down like all vehicles, seems they are just cheaper/easier to fix. They definitely hold good value, consider getting a slightly used one, new is kinda a waste.

How long have you owned cars in the pass? 3-5 years? 6-8 years? 10+?
If you plan on owning a car for 10 years, buying a new Accord is the way to go. But if you change up cars every 4 or 5 years, just buy a 2007 accord with around 35k-40k

Yes, I have some comments.
1. No disrespect intended but sounds like the WIFE is getting a car, not you.
2. Do you have that kind of cash or you plan to go into a ridiculous 3-5 years payment plan ?
Depending on your answer to question 2 I will say:
3a. What's wrong with a Hyundai ?
3b. If I was you I will get a nice old Volvo 240 (maximul $2000) and close the subject.
4. Remember, buying a car is one of the most dumb action people do...buy what you need not what you like.

Dar Dee Dar Dar Dar, I hate people like you. Of course it is assembled here. It's not designed, the parts don't, and engineers don't come from here you jerkoff. It is all shipped in from Japland and China.

How about the "US" cars made in Mexico or Canada ? Or try to find an "american" car not made 90% with parts shipped from Mexico or China.

Or the 10% of the American population that work in the industry. Think about them when you buy that Honda.

The bailout money that was paid back you mean? You mean Americans aren't there for other Americans in time of need? Just the Haitians? Oh jeeze...My Ford Explorer has 160k on it and runs beautiful, I have had Fords with 250k, Chevy Camaro my brother had that had 290k on it. It's a myth guy. American cars especially those today are solid. Give it a chance and know what you're talking about before you knock anything.

As long as you pay cash for it and not finance it. If you have to finance it, then you can't afford it.

I would highly recommend a Mercedes. Honda is just a regular run of the mill Ronfla. Get something with some style, class and reliability. I would highly suggest getting a newer C class, you can't go wrong for the price either. Much better than an Audi or BMW in the same price range.

For what I heard Mercedes is below average reliability.
Not a fan of Camero's at all. That is such a Midwest kind of car. That shit doesn't fly out here.

From my experience as well as My Father's, it has been the best car for reliability I have ever owned. I have had 3 of them, they are the best!

Indeed the car is for the wife. I'll pass on a Hyundai, thanks and what we are purchasing is what we "want and can afford".

WTF is wrong with this car ? Why you need to spend 15 times more on a new Honda ?
