Why doesn't the PGA suspend Tiger Woods like NBA suspended Arenas?

The PGA suspended a player a few years back for using a golf cart because he had an ailment with his leg or hip and couldn't walk. Adulterers should be banned because adultery does not comply with golf etiquette.

To Pavy's defense though about the whole morals thing... that espn analyst got fired for cheating on his wife. Theres a guy who just cheated with 1 girl (an ugly one none the less) and lost his job over it. And he apologized and did what he could but they still brought the hammer down on him.

I says its a family matter. The guy already lost a lot due to the whole thing.
What about his wife? You think she wants to be plowed by Tiger's scuzz ball filled pecker?

No, which is why it's a family matter. And is why she has done what she can to make Tiger's life miserable since this all went public.

Since was does someones personal life equal bringing guns into a locker room. Tigers personal life is not our business. Millions of people who have made this mistake.

Exactly. What happens behind closed doors stays behind closed doors. They have punished him anyway in many ways (imagine, $$, etc.).

Neither one should be suspended or even punished. YTF is Arenas suspended indefinitely and not Crittendon?? It's not like Arenas actually threatened him with a loaded weapon.

Anyone who knows how many nuts are out there who see athletes as a target can well understand why someone like Arenas would feel the need to pack. It's not his fault he plays in a city where the gun laws are draconian. A few years back Barry Switzer was caught carrying two LOADED pistols onto an AIRPLANE for goodness sake, and all he got was a light slap on the wrist, if that.

Exactly. They are throwing the book on Arenas and are not even slapping Tiger's wrist which is the one who broke up his family with his infidelity.

lol is this thread a joke?
some one brings a gun into a locker room, and takes it out over gambling debts?
tiger woods cheats on his wife.
if sports leagues were to suspend their athletes for cheating on their significant other then we would have no one left to play the games.

All I'm saying is that Tiger's personal life is his personal business, and Arenas's right to protect himself should be his personal business also. He wasn't charged with threatening or assaulting anyone. He was charged with and suspended for possession of a firearm. Period. And, having spent time in the neighborhood where the Verizon Center is located, I fully understand why someone with as high a profile as Arenas has would want to carry a gun when he has to leave that arena at around midnight.

I'm not sure about Florida, but fornication is actually listed as a crime in Minnesota.

                        609.34 FORNICATION.

When any man and single woman have sexual intercourse with each other, each is guilty of fornication, which is a misdemeanor.

He was charged with ILLEGALLY possessing a loaded firearm. He didn't have a permit for the weapon and he was accused of pulling it on a teammate. Sounds like at the very least a slap on the wrist and a 1 year suspension to me.
And Crittendon got the same punishment as Arenas from the league. Both were suspended for the year.

If it weren't for basketball, 90% of players in the NBA would be behind bars (Gilbert Arenas certainly included).

Pavyracer, after reading this thread I now know your lack of common sense goes far beyond politics.
