Kovalchuck is an overrated cherrypicker.. Yeah he scores a lot but has a terrible +/- every single year.. He needs to help out the D a lot more.. USA has it's stars on Offense too, though Russias may be better.. Look for a high scoring game between the 2..

I think it's the earlier of the 2 comments that pretty much sums it up as to why many people around the world aren't the biggest fans of Americans. I play a tonne of NHL 10 online and have all these guys from the states telling me how much better their country is than any other in the world. Like really, who says, the 90% of the population that is so scared by the media to leave their front door let alone the country boarder? I don't get it, there is pride, and then there is being an American.

I live in Vancouver, home of the winter olympics and census pools #1 ranked city to live in in the world for the last couple years. It's beautiful here, I love it, but I lived in New Zealand last year and I'm sorry guys but they've got us both beat there and they are smart enough not to go bragging about it and just keep the most beautiful place on earth all to themselves.

Just my 2 cents on the whole subject, and yeah US has a pretty great team, you guys will be amazed at what Kesler will bring to the table for ya. As for the Russians, they're going to be great as well. Have any of you seen the home teams lineup yet though? We do have the top offensive and defensive lines in hockey, and Marty Broduer ain't no slouch in net either.
