Came out on DVD today. Good flick. Original story line, unpredictable ending. It's rare to find a good movie when 95% of the stuff they put out you could wipe your a$$ with.

The ending was unpredictable for those who didn't know anything about Thermopilaes battle.
Movie would be ok, but all this hype rised my expectations way too high to LOTR level or something so I was a bit disappointed as well.Comment -
I can relate to having mis-directed expectations - except in my case, I was thinking it might be comparable to another Frank Miller adaptation, Sin City - which I loved. Artistically, 300 had some similarities but overall, it just didn't grab me as much, start-to-finish.
That's really not a good or fair way to evaluate a movie though.
If I just clear my mind and set aside comparisons, I think 300 is a good movie period. Worth seeing.Comment -
