Unless you like seeing the stars every night on the outside, then gambling better not be your main source of income. Go to Vegas, does it look more like a thriving strip or bombed out beirut? If we were winning it would look like the latter. No one in there right mind would try this without a well thought out suicide note very close at hand. To answer your question. Hell no. It is fun, nothing more, nothing less. I would not have gas money if I depended on gambling for my income.

Sports Gambling is the easiest thing in the world. 50 games a day and all you have to do is pick who's gonna win 1 of them!
Hell, you don't even have to participate in the game or break a sweat

I worked for 20+ years, saving money, making good investments, and gambling. So I do have a nut.

But I quit my job in December and now gamble full time - mostly sports (all 4 major sports), but some poker. I have a young son to support, so I'm pretty confident I can make enough for us to live on. So far, so good.

You would need unreal capital to even attempt to make a living off gambling.

Ye that I was thinking too Domestic to be able to live you would need at least 50k, then you have to start making 500 dollar bets and better keep winning early on to keep your confidence up.

I think it is possible too make a living on gambling. You need to prepare your lifestyle before taking this big step.

The most important thing is your bankroll. Save up 50K for gambling and save up 30K for your first year of "salary/income"
You need to keep your bills low and no debt - these expenses will only make the pressure even bigger so keep them low!
It will help you a lot if you are a household of two - one working fulltime - this income will be your safety on cold streaks.
Remember to use moneymanagement and think in longterm betting.
