Is the Superbowl "pregame" better than the game ??

Alot of hype and good stories,, years ago I think SI had a cover title something like "Lets have a Superbowl that the pregame can be proud of"

has always sucked to me, along with the halftime show

Would not say so, but it's definitely the case with other events. Like the NBA All-Star Game. It's the whole weekend of coverage that I like better leading up to the game compared to the game itself.

Boxing can be the same way. All the hype ahead of the fight sometimes is more entertaining than the fight itself. "I'm ranked number one! One! You tell him what I said! Pain!"
