If you have never seen this, this is the funniest movie ever. With all of the shit that has been going on here the last few weeks, this will certainly give you some humor out of it. Yeah, hate to watch that movie on any TV movie channel now. Some of my favorite parts are when Mel Brooks plays the 'Yiddish indian chief' and when the town folk meet up with the railroad workers to discuss a plan of attack. One of the many Johnson's makes some comment like, "Ok, we will let the nigg3rs and chinks in, but we don't want the Irish." Brooks with that movie, and Norman Lear with All in the Family, did a great job of holding a mirror up for America specifically and the world in general to take a comical look at some serious problems. But look how it has really had the reverse effect that Brooks (and Lear) intended with the censorship on TV now. It's like the big fat slob who lives in a house with a bunch of mirrors. He's disgusted by what he sees each time he passes by the mirror, but eventually decides the mirrors are the problem and not his own obesity.Comment -
