I suspect that on days that have a big card for sports (usually friday, saturday and sunday) that a lot of bettors may be down money and units by late at night. as we know, a lot of people like to chase. now when people chase, they generally take the obvious pick, which is usually the public heavy favorite.
I think the books take this into account when adjusting and setting lines for the 10:05 and 10:35 games. For example, the books know a fair line for a game would be -8 /+8. But since it is the last game on the night card, i think they make the spread 8.5 or 9 points, basically "over-chalking" the favorite. Over the long run, that 1 point makes a huge difference.
Thoughts?
P.S. The mods need to bring back BobbyFK. Guy was the 2nd best video poster ever, second only to JJGold.
