Can we raise funds for American victims of tragedy?
Can we raise funds for American victims of tragedy?
Homeless, starving, veterans, Katrina victims that are still in distress?
Don't get me wrong I encourage hatian donations but let's not forget about our own.

Deuce Katrina was years ago, they are long forgotten (not that it's right). America will never help it's own it's too damned socialist for their liking.

I agree, at least an option for a US facing charity would be good.

You can donate to American Red Cross. They don't discriminate based on nationality when they help people.

Good post Pavy.
If you think about it in your heart of hearts a portion of what you give each year should go to those who are the most desperate humans on the planet no matter where they are. The Red Cross is an excellent way to reach them. Then look at your own community. Almost all have someone who is running a soup line and shelter for the homeless.

Both Salvation Army and Red Cross are constantly at work helping the less fortunate. I give to both regularly.
Used to have a Salvation Army charity golf outing on the east side until last year -- canceled because of budget cuts at Sal. It was too bad. Some of the old Lions always attended.
