The reason I ask is because of this afternoons CBB game if you had Canisius +8.
HALFTIME SCORE: Canisius 41 Fairfield 35
2H Line was Fairfield -7
If you bet Fairfield for 2H, you would have a 6 point middle, as you would win both bets if Fairfield wins the 2nd half by 8 to 13 points. And a push on the middle opportunity if they win by 7. This middle seemed like a great way to make a possible large gain with low risk, but if FF doesn't cover it would take some of the profits away from your Canisius straight wager.
As it turned out Fairfield won the 2H by 8 points as they came back to beat Canisius 76-74, reulting in the middling win.
For guys that middle often- Do you automatically play a middle if a certain number of points presents itself? Or do you factor in all the other variables, foul trouble etc? Also what is the minimum range in points for you to try to middle? And lastly, what amount do you normally place on the middle opportunity, half of the original bet?
TIA
