After a night of too much partying i lost my wallet and by the time i figured out it wasnt at my house i had 3 banks calling me for irregular activity totaling a little over $500 bucks. One of them is my bank of america account that i hadnt used in 2 years, so the 3 charges will put me in overdraft that ill probably have to clear up because, dont reversing charges take a while?

Was it with your debit card? If you call and report fraud I believe they refund u the $ immediately then investigate it. You will have to sign a form.

Debit can be run as credit, charges were made at gas station, wallmart, and some other company codes i didnt recognize.

They usually freeze the charges till investagation is done , you should not have any overdraft charges.

Well i drank at a friends house, blacked out woke up at another friends house. So i didn't think much of it being stolen....then i got like 2 text alerts from b of a and after calling chase n my other financial institution all of them had been used. Mostly for gas, i dont drive nor have i made a gas purchase in 5 months. I think that bodes well for me but usually banks are fair in situations like these

talk to gas station owner..some may have video surveillance of car in transaction..you may see one of your "friends" pumping gas

Man that was a irritating phone call, usually blocking cards is in 1 minute process...

I called Chase- 2 minutes
i called my credit union- 2 months to block credit+deibt
Bank of america's system is down for 2 hours so they told me to call **** directly to get them blocked, was on the phone for 25 minutes because the lady had to write up a report to then forward to b of a, wow what a hassle,

Had this happen with Wachovia once before, my account was frozen for about a week until activated a new card they sent me. They took care of everything though, reversed all of the charges.

Well most of the transactions cleared sound like a total homo stole my card...

All the purchases were made at gas stations, wallmart, or liquor stores.

They were able to charge abot $270 alone on my debit card from the same liquor store. What did they keep gonig back to the counter with my card to see how much they cud get? My bank needs to do a investigation and get the guy fired. Im not 21 and cant buy alcohol but ive been in liquor stores enough to no they match person to id then ID to Card before processing a transaction if buying alcohol( thats the only thing id think u cud rack up $270 from). They were able to make 6 transactions within a hour at the same liquor store without the guy verifying this info? now onto the investigation not sure how long it will last but wish me luck guys

you should be protected on all credit/debit card purchases. Its part of the agreement, you might need to pay a small fee (similar to a deductible) to activate your protection, it depends upon the TOS. Credit cards are protected no matter what...

If you didn't do anything then you have nothing to worry about. By the way, I had a friend who use to steal credit cards and then offer discounts to customers to get cash. For example, give me twenty and I'll fill your tank 25.00. As a side note, make 100 percent sure you didn't do it or you will go away for a long time for fraud.

No clue i dont even kno what store it was, it was a automated system that called me and then when i looked up my bank statement it shows like 7 purchases from a liquor store but im not sure which 1.
