May be the lowest rating Superbowl in history.

Having the New York market with a team alone would be worshipped by the network execs.

sure they will. everyone watches the super bowl, even non sports fans. plus jets are from a big market and many people are rooting for the Saints to win to "help" their recovery from the hurricane and many will love to just pull for a david vs goliath in this big game

                      Fair enough.

I already hammered the opener on IND. I see a 17 point victory or more.

Saints/Jets would be badass, it just wouldn't be much of a game.

racer, I think it doesn't matter too much. the superbowl is one of the few maybe only games, that doesn't NEED to have great teams, players, or markets necesarily to do well. On super bowl sunday, tell me what show/network will get better ratings if the saints and jets play?

the only ones who will benefit from the Jets winning the AFC is the NFC team and the Miami grocers when Rex comes into town.

I know it doesn't matter on Superbowl day. For us gamblers is important to understand that NFL is a business first and use this for our advantage when placing bets next weekend.

ok, i'm not sure if I follow. but you are saying that the NFL is gonna try to fix the superbowl to get the best matchup to boost ratings? so you should bet accordingly.

Either team in the NFC going to the Superbowl will be very entertaining. I don't care too much for the Colts or Jets, so it won't make much different to me for whomever represents in the AFC.

thats what they said about last years matchup, whats the point of having teams where they are if one matchup is better (on paper) than another just because of which city they represent.

I'm sure no one will boycott Cleveland vs Green Bay if it happened.

I think people will watch just to see how many pts the Saints will put up on whoever they face.

Plus if the Jets do make it: Expect Sanchez to make a Namath like prediction! That will bring some viewers.

Isn't the New York market the biggest market in the U.S.?

                                                          I'm rooting for a Saints/Jets SuperBowl now....although I think it will be Saints/Colts.
