SBR if you want to take this down by all means I understand as you're running a business, but I'm getting a little pissed off and feel the need to let it out. Let me preface my discontent on these two issues by saying I still believe you're the best of your kind out there, and I do appreciate so very much of what you do for a lot of the guys here. I wouldn't even bother to post concerns elsewhere (such as c*****.com, the**.com, ma***wa***.com, etc.) as I have such little belief in the management's regard for player overall well-being at these places. Here are my two bones to pick from a player's perspective at the moment. One is for a book, one is against, and I think both are as a result of hidden incentives (i.e. money) being provided. Here we go....
#1) Again how BoDog is above a D is beyond me. We all know they pay affiliates and pay well, but I don't think anyone is fooled. However, the entire industry will eventually pay for their piss poor customer service, ludicrous withdrawal timeframes, bounced checks, and now stealing unknowingly from players' checking accounts. If anyone else did this you'd be the ones starting threads blasting them and advising players to stay away, but here it just goes unmentioned as they remain an "A" book. If that's not absurd I don't know what is. Tell me one of your "B" rated books that is worse and I'll beg to differ. These people that are continually being screwed over in one form or fashion are all customers who simply won't return again period, and we'll all suffer for that. And...
#2) In regards to this wagerweb situation, why you've allowed this to go on for as long as it has is beyond me. You've got a prior established scam artist using a few friends names on top of dummy accounts in an effort to defraud yet another book, and yet this has been a top page topic for three months now. On top of this, you don't come out with all facts for the book while allowing this established con artist to run amuck. One has to figure you either: a) Just want the players to get this side of the story for whatever hidden motive, or b) Think the average posters here are just too damned stupid and insignificant to discern the facts if they were given. I just don't believe you've handled this situation appropriately and openly from the very get-go. We all know this is just one guy using a few friends names and dummy accounts to take a shot at the book, but for some reason this case in particular continues to get carried on. I didn't even think the player in the 5Dimes case should have gotten the entire sum paid out, but at least he had some valid arguments and could have lost his wager, so he certainly deserved something. This guy's a well-established con artist using fraudulent accounts to establish multiple +EV scenarios time and again. Again why won't you come out in the open about all of this?
Thanks for your time as always as I think these open discussions can only make the industry stronger in turn...
