- SD played very strong 1H. Jets first first down was midway through 2Q.
- SD first interception very unlucky bounce.
- 1 key call against SD (illegal block in back) that moved the ball from the 20 to the 50... This was HUGE. If SD scores on that possession, the game is as good as over.
- A frustrated Rivers tried to force things and threw a stupid INT in his own red zone. HUGE.
- The Kaeding mystery. WTF was that about?
- SD lost turnover battle - a killer - but still would have been fine if Kaeding had been on target.

If you wrote a script like the one written for the Jets this past month, it would immediately be tossed in the trash because nobody would believe it. Yes, they're good defensively. But I can't, for the life of me, remember a luckier team. Everything is going their way. Kaeding had never even missed 3 FG's in one game. Please don't tell me that the Jets somehow created that. There's nothing wrong with being lucky. Just don't confuse that for something else.

My Saints got slammed for losing 3 in a row after winning the first 13. San Diego won 11 in a row to end the season, and 1 and done in the playoffs.

Charger fans, you should be used to this. They always do this. What in the hell is the big suprise here? This team chokes in the playoffs. They did it when Marty Schotts was there. The fact is that Turner has won more playoff games (3) in his three year tour as HC than Schotts won during his 5 year stay (0). This will continue as long as the Chargers keep the neucleus of this team. It is time to let underproducers go. Rivers stays. He is the mainstay of this team. L.T, goodbye. Nice career. Try showing up in a playoff game next time. Merriman? Goodbye. If you are not shooting up roids or beating up women, you are worthless. The Chargers may have had a nice record this year, but ATS they were 8-9. Again, a bunch of underachievers.

The San Diego fans ( the most illiterate and worst in football) should be getting used to this by now. This town has never won any major sports championship, and they will continue to keep their well earned name of "Choke City" for many years to come. They play in an old antequated stadium. No more Superbowls for that dump. Their fans eat their quiche and sip their wine and occasionally cheer for their team, even though they are always outcheered by the fans from the opposing team. These ladies who go to the Charger games get what they deserve. Disappointment year after year. They will never learn. It must feel grat toknow that Anaheim, the city of the Major Mouse, has won more Professional titles (2) than San Diego has. Beat by a city who'se major attraction is a Mouse. How nice is that San Deigo fans?

This team has always been a loser in crunch time. It starts when the year starts. It starts at the top, with a management team willing to do just enough to guarantee victory in the worst conference in the NFL, but nothing more. It drifts down to a coaching staff that actually believes that their team is the greatest since sex. Then it drips down to the players, who are too busy planning to buy restaurants, date pretty women, score their next drugs, or get to the bar as quickly as possible. San Diego hasw always been a very soft team in a very soft city. Yesterday, they got hit in the mouth, and had no answer. So what else is new?

I still think Rivers has a future. But LT is over the hill. The D still has potential, if Merriman can get right. We'll see next year.
