NFL is the only sport I have ever seen where after a grueling season the 2 week rest comes into play in playoffs is just a big advantage. No other sport has this. Basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer..none of this.

    This is huge.

Is it really an advantage? Or do you just have a strong team at home playing a weaker team? I'm not sure it's any bigger advantage than a regular bye week.

Who said anything about who is winning the game? All I said is a big advantage not having to take hits for 2 weeks.

Good point, hoopster. Like John Madden once said, it's the N-o F-igure L-eague. Anyone can still choke in a playoff game or the Super Bowl.

it hasn't been that big of an advanatage of the last few years. I'm not sure about all time. but more than ever we see wildcard teams making it and even winning the super bowl. that never used to happen
