i think fox news is more interesting to watch than cnn when you're not in the states. anyways, this is old news, but on geraldo show, they were taking about this couple in reno who plays D&G all day long and negliected their 2 kids.

the dude blew all his 50k inheritance on computer equipement back in nov and stop caring for their kids. they were saying computer game addiction is not a mental illness but gambling is (according to some source quoted by fox news).

i think gambling addiction is not that much different than video game addiction except you don't have to take out a second mortgage to pay off your computer game debts.

I always hate the we know what's best for you types railing against video games.etc.

OK,there are plenty of people who play the nasty video games too much,watch too much t.v.,are on the internet too much etc.etc.Maybe allot of these people tried mainstream hobbies and tried forming a family and were the nicest genuine people where the mainstream way of life just didn't work out for them so they resorted to living in a virtual world in their comfort zone.

You get all these experts usually working for the government condemning these people or trying to modify their behavior or banning amd restricting material etc.If you take a close look at these do gooders they live the most dysfunctional lives and admire the most dysfunctional people where millions of people are negatively affected by their legislation etc.

The government never takes into consideration the variables when they want to ban something.I personally know people who are obese that are 75 and doing ok and if they wouldn't have been slobs eating Big Macs and Twinkies they would have comitted suicide out of boredom at 40 or would have gotten married to a whore financially ruining them and bringing them to an early grave.Who's to say what's bad for a person?I certainly know that the government run socialist public education system is bad for everyone so why don't we ban and control that?
