If it's an old dog there's not much you can do besides talking to your neighbors (in case it's not yours) and have them walk him late night so that it sleeps all night long.

Only advice I can offer is what Ced said. Take him/her for a good-sized walk at night/play with the dog for a while in the evening. If that doesnt work it might be inevitable.

        you need to specify

        is it yours?

        if not, whose is it?

        indoor or outdoor?

outdoor?..is there something it may be barking at you are not aware of?

He just may need a little more love

dogs can get a little senile too..no reason in hell to kill him over this

debark (I was thinking you were talking about killing it is the obvious way to make it stop)
            or
A bark collar: every time the dog barks, the collar gives it a shock. Just put it on at night time.

I stay at my fiancee's house a lot, w her parents.

Their son kinda ditched the dog here years back. He's alright though, long story. They are good people so they feed it food and scraps.

It looks like kind of a mesh between a dog and a wolf, thing is so f*cked up. Ugly as hell. If you try to approach it, just jumps constantly, won't bite you ever though. Kinda feel bad for it, would never hurt anyone (intentionally).

At the same time when it barks for 4 hours of time I want it put out of it's misery.

So, not mine, that's the story so I can't really "take care" of it without pissing off virtual family real bad.

What would u do? Answer is probably just put up with it when I'm up here right.
