Do you watch preseason games?

i watch alot of hockey preseason games this year.

i mainly did it for capping purposes and, seen how the new rules would come into play. you could imeditley could see how the new rules were being enforced. although, the refs sure took a while to adjust to them.

do you usually profit on it? you're betting on like 2nd/3rd string players half the time

The key is the coach and how long the starters will play. Marv Levy never cared about preseason and it was a gold mine betting against Buffalo when he coached. When Dennis Green was with Minn he took preseason seriously. Steve Spurrier went all out in preseason with Washington. I think that preseason is easier to bet than the regular season.

Colts went 0-5 this year. That should tell you how much emphasis to put on Preseason.

Winston- Preseason is great if you do your homework. Just a guess without looking over anything but I would think that Hou would be a nice play the first game of preseason. Many times teams with bad records want to have a good preseason to get their fans excited. It's just the opposite for the good teams.

Well, capping a preseason game is one thing, I suppose. But as far as how much it carries over into the regular season, I don't see it as meaning much.

There's money to be made there though, I can't disagree with that.

You are 100% correct. I play a lot of games during the regular season but only 1 maybe 2 a week during preseason.

jimmy johnson's cowboys did that every year during there championship run. he always seemed to give the same speech during his preseason press conferences too. he said, "these games have no meaning. ask me these questions during the regular season"
