I consider myself a volume bettor. I know you are EXTREMLEY patient but on an NFL Sunday I bet anywhere from 1-8 games depending on if I like them. Never say "oh I have too many" or "oh I don't have enough" or "oh I don't have a 4pm bet" just bet the value. Thats what I got away from to start this year. Betting EVERY bowl game. Chasing in 2nd halves. Not playing halves anymore. Usually don't only when my head gets ****ed up.

You sound like you can win at this game... The only reason you chased those halves was because you were losing... Because you are still up in the long run...why not cut back for now...when you regain your confidence dive in with your new lower limits... Yes I am extremely patient... Only broke my rules and chased 2x all of last year...

We all have losing streaks...anyone who says they do not is a liar... I am having one of my usual grinder type weeks...up but barely and 4-3 on week...right around my normal max for week...usually play 2-7 games total... But still have the NFL playoffs this weekend... Well you keep records...take a look how much damage the chasing did you...ride out a losing streak lowering unit amount till you gain confidence back... And by the amounts you have won in the past seems like you know how to ride a winning streak...

I don't care if you have the money or not, $400 a game is a ton. I can't sleep at night and get chest pains with plays over 200 and I have a full-time job and its not life or death if I win the money...Whats wrong with making a solid play, winning, and being able to stick a cool 100 bones in your back pocket??..do you know what you can buy with $400? Thats 3/4s of my rent for the month!.

I have bet $5,000 on games before. I don't do it for the gamble. I do it to win money. I can put $1,500 on a game and go out to a club and come home and check the score. Watching it does nothing for me. I bet to win, not for the rush. If you bet for entertainment thats your buisness but it's hard to come out ahead like that.

ha. well if that's your philosophy, why would you start a pussy thread about quitting? you only live once, right? if everyday is your last, start wagering huge chunks of your bankroll every night, right? or is that not your philosophy and just a couple of cliched phrases you pulled out of your ass?

most of us here have enough experience to know that if a 21 years old kid goes to Vegas with thousands burning a hole in his pocket will end with a broke 21 year old kid leaving Vegas...you seem smart enough to realize that.

              I know it hurts..

              I understand how you feel..

              Do you know what's interesting?

              It's a good thing..

That's right. Losing 9k this year is a big lesson and a big experience. We're human after all. We're learning by our mistakes. You'll be a more serious, disciplined sports bettor from this moment and on and you'll never forget it..

Only live once has nothing to do with just gambling. I don't have to bet huge to enjoy the day. I can go out, get laid, smoke weed, go to a club, whatever, just don't sit on your ass all day and let life pass you by.

Ok, here is the bottom line. I think I can beat it. I have beat it before. I am going to go to Vegas. I will have $35,000 by that time. I will only take $20,000. I will be 21 years old. I will either stay in Vegas for 4 months or come home broke. I have free living with a family friend who lives out there already. If I go broke I come home and I'm a 21 year old college kid with $15,000 in the bank. I want to do this so I am going to. Why not do it now rather then when I am 30 and can ruin my family.

Kid loves to gamble and your not going to change him`unless he goes to GA every week forever or gets strapped in a chair for like a week and goes cold turkey. I like this kid and hopes he stays at sbr and gambles but smaller amounts.

what are you going to "beat" with the 20k in vegas? the only games with odds in your favor (imho) are 1) poker tourneys, live games
                            2) counting cards at blackjack

if you're playing sports, you can do that with much less juice and great bonuses on the web which makes the odds in your favor online only (again imho).

anything else is for suckers imho. in reading your posts i am reminded of how terrific our university system is - when a 3rd year college student cares more about going to clubs, smoking weed, and gambling than learning the difference between there/their, your/you're, etc

                            good luck.
