Poll: Would JJGold Have Been Successful In Life If Not For Gambling?
This is a serious question, and encompasses a lot more than just one person's addiction as there are certainly others like him. He's just a well-known example to be used here. I can really see this going two ways....either you a) think he and people like him have a lot of potential that goes to waste, or b) believe that he would have simply found an alternate way to screw himself up.

All serious discussion appreciated, as this is more of a general addictive/troublesome personality discussion than a JJ hearing...

Yes, he could have been successful had he never caught the "gambling bug."

No, he and people like him are destined to screw up in one form or fashion regardless.

We all have our own demons to deal with, most of us just prefer to keep them to ourselves.

Thus far, I am the lone voter who said "Yes, he could have been successful if he had not caught the gambling bug".

And as Willie Bee so appropriately asked, "Who's to say that he's not successful in gambling?"

I don't know JJ personally, but from reading several of his posts for the past 4-5 months, I would say that he is a bright fellow who could be successful in many different industries.

I don't doubt that he is one of the rare winning gamblers. His info is strong and he seems well-connected so I believe he gets good numbers.

        More power to him..

People measure sucess in many different ways. If his goals included living life to its fullest, I could vote yes.
If its material goals like $.nice cars, etc, then there were most likely easier roads to travel.
Can not vote on either side in this poll.

I still will make it big gambling, I have the mind for it and the brightness. I had a mink you know in my prime, need I say more?

Gambling is all about runs, I am in a bad one now. I know every angle on how to get loans and short cuts also and can get approved even in 80k in the hole. I am a hustler.

I could of made it in anything, I had a deli making 4 dimes a week way back and blew it all gambling, owned a rug store also and made a good buck.

I might get my HS diploma and then go to college at Rutgers.

Somebody sabatoged this poll. Certainly anybody in their right mind can see that JJ would be a marketable guy in any platform.
