The Best ? to ask before betting.
You must ask this question to yourself before betting any game.
" Why is the line _?"
Like anything else, if it is too good to be true, it usually is...
I think earlier someone asked about the Spurs being underdog in OKC. So this question came into mind. My money is OKC tonight.
Anyone else sees any other questionable line like this feel free to let us know.

This topic has probably been covered about twelve thousand times, but nonetheless if you base your betting strategy on this you will still lose. There are a myriad of reasons for a line to be where it is, and betting the side that "looks too good to be true" is probably not nearly as easy as it looks. Off the top of my head, Kentucky vs. Florida last night looked "too good to be true" for Kentucky, and yet they cruised.

Thanks for your reply DrStale. Great that people are aware of this. We all know there are no sure bets. If you focus on a sport you can really get a feel for it and every now and than you would see a number that really stands out. It doesn't happen very often. When it happens you don't even look at any other stats or anything else, you just know it.
Let's see what OKC would do tonight. This is not my number, I am not following NBA that much, but for someone else it was a ? mark, so let's see if he was right. OKC just checked the line, it's looking even better -3.5.-4. Man, I should put some money on this one...BRB...Ok back, mortgaged the house. LOL!
Regarding the Kentucky game last night; Power rating numbers pretty much showed pick to -1. they were favorite -3.5

Kobe is questionable tonight with a bad back (spasms). Gasol is out. The line is Dallas -6. Is that a bargain or a trap?

I like to ask "how high am I gonna get if this wins?" and "how low am I gonna get if this loses?" The more extreme the answer to BOTH of those questions the better.

OKC line isnt off at all. OKC is a good team this year especially at home, the spurs are coming off a tough back to back line is right on, the real line should be OKC -5 but the spurs are a public team and thats why the line is -2

Thanks again for all the replies guys. Interesting games tonight good thing I didn't do anything with NBA.
James, Power ratings shows OKC pick to 1 point favorite. The line closed 3.5 even some 4s. And another guy questioning the line, made the OKC look like a lock.
Bob I would have taken Dallas -6 just looking into the number. But as I said above I am not in tune with NBA numbers, so not doing anything with them. Good thing. LOL!
NFL is another story. Have been following them this year and have some opinions.
                I like Dallas against Minnesota.
And I think San Diego should win the whole thing this year. What happened? At one point they were favorite as much as 9.5? I wish it stayed there.
How is the Arizona/New Orleans game gonna stay under? Could Arizona break the record back to back?
