This was asked of the General after he commented in a thread about you stating that, "you were a legend and should be treated with respect".

While I agreed from everything I have heard about the length of time you have been doing this you are probably in fact some sort of internet legend by forum standards. Also I have no problem admitting that I personally like you even though I don't always get the punchline of some of your material, or for that matter even understand how you have the ability to hammer it out ever single day and attempt to keep it somewhat fresh. Liking someone doesn't mean you can't at times disagree with them. So the question I posed to the General that went unanswered I'll ask directly to you.

Should a so called legend or represenative, partner or unauthorized face of a gambling related business be glorifying the ills of being a degenerate gambler? While I agree making jokes about yourself or even others as having a problem is fair game, it seems that praising the addictive results that some gamblers ultimately go through is in bad taste.

We all have our opinions about whether or not gambling addiction is just an addiction or an actual disease. What we can all agree on though that it can become an addiction and that it can lead to drastict measures to as you call it "stay in the game". Vegas puts out commercials supporting help groups for those that take it too far. Bogus as they may be, because we can be pretty safe in assuming Vegas could careless who goes too far or not as long as they make theirs. Still they put forth the facade of concern. So what kind of message does it send for SBR and it's related intrest from a public relations standpoint for you to praise the degenerate lifestyle of young kids who beg, borrow or steal money to "stay in the game"?

    Your move champ.

Good question Wally, I go way back with The General and he gets protective of me. I have no problems getting hammered here as it is part of the of posting. Wally I think you are correct that I do encourage guys to do anything to gamble but on the other hand at times I say gambling is bad and we need to get out of it. So where do we draw the line?? I am a gambler period and rather gamble than fuk models, lots of guys here chasing the dream of becoming a pro or hitting it rich also so I got to keep them going. Its a fine line, Wally guys like Sammy, ZBOIZ, Illini,Nicky, Richie, Cougar, IWIN, Fazzer, etc are pathological gamblers and are beyond help so those are the types I push to keep going because without it they will commit suicide. The innocent guys that are like 5-11, 140 or so I try and tell the perils of gambling. Wally your a good guy but i am still going to kick your ass one day in front of your boys at the golf course.

Nice volley JJ. You took the time to answer my question, well sort of, so there will be no hammering from me. I wanted to know your opinion and you gave it, kind of, so I'll let it rest here.

JJ, if you are even half the idiot in person you are on video, I would be happy to have you at my course.

Oh, and we just demonstrated that we can have philosophical differences and speak on them without flaming on one another. Amazing concept, real discussion about real topics.

Brock, there is no denying JJ can take any heat directed at him. As I stated in my post, I personally like JJ. I just wanted to ask a question.

Like when people took shots at you when things went bad. I wasn't here then but there has been plenty mentions to it. Making jokes about it taking shots at you personally about it might seem harsh and even uncalled for but that is what guys do. We take shots when there is an opportunity. Joking, serious, doesn't matter. However making fun of making fun of the situation is fundamentally different than glorifying or endorsing the negative aspects of what come with crashing.

Like with Sammy. Now personally I don't know Sammy and I am not saying what I think is right, but I think he hypes it up a bit and probably isn't or wasn't in the kind of debt that he mentioned. If he was I apologize but it was my thought process. Be that as it may though, the Gambler of The Year routine paints a dim light when it was basically rewarding someone for getting in over their head and begging, borrowing and stealing their way back into action. I KNOW IT WAS A JOKE, but considering the very real nature of what actually does happen to people and also realizing there are young impressionable lurkers here it sends a bad message.

Anyhow my post wasn't to disrespect JJ but rather to allow JJ an opportunity to respond. If I were to disrespect him I would simply post something negative about him and not offer or even request a reply.
