average hold percentage for the books.

Hey guys does anybody know the average hold percentage for the books lets say for every million dollars wagered. Straight bets, 4 team parlays, teasers, reverses, double vig pay outs all included in the action. I was thinking some where around 4 to 5 %. Do you think this varies from year to year ? Unibet had 3-4 % their last quarterly report on sportsbetting. Betsson had 6%.

Would think US books have a much lower percentage so probably 2.5% or less (since they give the player so much better odds).

Based on data from the big UK (recreational) books, 4% is a good benchmark for all wager types combined.
I would take a rough guess and say 3% for straight bets and 6+% for other bet types.
