we have our first fix of the year
did anyone see the celtics/ hawks game yesterday?

celtics were cleary the better team, shot 80 % from the 3point range and had a steady 10 pt lead,
at that time the hawks had no shot at winning the game or covering the number.
But then the refs took over , called plenty of fouls on the celtics , didn't call anything on the hawks.

I think it was in the middle of the 3rd quarter, when celtics get a flagrant for a ordinary foul and 2 technicals on top of that, they even ejected doc rivers from the game.

Needless to say the hawks got back in the game with that 4 point play and even when the crowd started to get mad at the refs, they continued to call bs fouls on boston.

I have watched many nba games, although i'm not from the us but it appears to me that there is no way the refs didn't fix that game.

by the way i had hawks +5,

doubt it was the first fix of the year... I bet a lot of nba last year and did well... But this year I have pretty much ignored it...except for a few wins... I have turned to ncaabb...which I am sure has the fix in once in a while...but the nba is going to be in big trouble if the players in the league continue to run around with guns acting like gangbangers...

In watching the game, the officials certainly took the Celtics out of it. As we know from a "former" ref, they have the ability to do that.

of course the nba is turning into the old days if anyone remembers..:all star wrestling" type situation...punks making millions to act like thugs and the refs on the take....oh while on this subject...that is Dick Bavetta in my avatar...the ringmaster of this nba circus... actually looks like an old time bookie!

i bet a ton of games each day, so it doesn't matter that much if i lose or win one certain game,
but most people blame the refs for their losing wager, even if their hasn't been any indications of a fixed game,
but i still can't believed what i just saw when i watched the replay of the celtics game, maybe we should stay away from games with yesterday's refs lol

Told ya, take Atlanta ML. Doubt it's a fix, Boston already had the chance to study Atlanta after game one and two, they did not. That's just one of those matchups were a "worse" team beats the "better" one because of certain elements.

Do they publish/announce which refs are working which games, to the public ahead of time?

                            not sure ,
but i think covers even has stats on each ref , so i guess if they are announced early enough covers is the place to go.
