Looks like the DOJ is on the hunt again.

They send out enough of these letters, someone they send it to will rat them out guaranteed.

A quick google shows that this merchant has been issuing a heck of a lot of cheques (some from reputable casinos) that have bounced. And a lot of people have received similar requests for information. Unless it's a demand for information (the scans there merely say "request") then it would go straight into the trash for me. But, as you said, it only takes one.

Taco, I did the same web search and they did a lot of casino processing but this has to be sports related. I would guess Bodog or Betus but who knows.

Here is something that was posted at another forum. Too bad we can't get these guys over here as I heard it was a big BM that is bankrolling this futile attempt. At least they are trying and fighting.

        All,

You may (I hope) have heard about our association - iMEGA (www.iMEGA.org) - and our Federal court challenge against the Unlawful Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), where we are seeking to have this law, targeting the banks and credit card companies that handle transactions between i-gaming sites and players, overturned.

If any of you have received this kind of letter from the US DoJ, we'd like to hear from you. If there is anyway that our legal team can address this issue with our own court challenge, I promise you that we will.

        Please email me at joebrennanjr@iMEGA.org

Please do so as soon as possible, as we are preparing for our first hearing in Federal court on Sept. 4th, 2007 (link: http://iMEGA.org)

        Thanks,

        Joe
