Impossible. There were no 72 year olds back then. People died at 50.

That's actually an accurate statement. Another case of poor translation of ancient scrolls, just as the Virgin Mary was not actually prophesied to be a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). The word was mistranslated from Hebrew to Greek, but you are probably aware of this as well yisman. (anyone curious can google search "mistranslation of almah")
However, I've always enjoyed the image of Allah as a Thai pimp.
Islam honors HIM so.

Let's just all give praise to Allah that betplom resisted the urge to post a pick of a nude 72 year-old woman with a bashed up minge, as betplom is sometimes wont to do.

The interesting part is, that verse is critical to the claim of Christianity that the OT references Jesus or the "Immaculate conception". It does not.
Far from an innocent mistake, it was a deliberate corruption of the text.

Right. It's pretty evident that Matthew and Luke twisted facts to fit their interpretation of the prophecies and to have Jesus meet the falsified criteria. One needn't look further than both their genealogies of Joseph to see clear manipulation. First off, the list of ancestors barely overlap. Secondly, what does it matter if they prove Joseph descended from David if Mary wasn't carrying his seed in the first place?

The Bible also supports incest. When Cain killed Abel and Adam died what do you think happened?

Pavy, the Bible endorses so many immoral acts I wouldn't know where to start in listing them. Moses was a renowned and celebrated murderer. (Exodus 2:11-12) He kills a guy and hides him in the dessert. No big deal. God himself kills so many throughout the book for some of the most petty things as to overshadow mere mortals like Moses I suppose.
The Bible is a book riddled with bad morals and we would all be better off if it had never existed, imho. People pick and choose the parts they want to pay attention to, but the book taken on the whole presents an atrocious model to abide.

What exactly does this have to do with anything?
We were discussing the mistranslation of various terms in holy texts.

I couldn't agree more. It also promotes war. Why would a God want a certain group of people to live at a certain location on earth where Earth is millions of square miles and advice humans to go on war to kill other humans who don't believe in him so they can live in that land?
You can't tell people to go on war and then tell them Thou shall not kill.
