Pats are the team of the decade. There can only be one of those. You have not heard the last of them. They have one more run in them.

dynasties in football only get one chance in the new age of draft order and unrestricted free agency. cowboys got 3 in 4 yrs, broncos got 2 in 2 yrs, patriots got 3 in 4 yrs (01, 03, 04) and have not won since. they are the team of the EARLY DECADE (last decade) sir. THE STEELERS are a BIGGER DYNASTY right now than the pats because they've won 2 of the last 5 (05 & 08, no in 06, 07, and 09)

the pats are done. by the time they rebuild enough around brady & moss, those 2 future HOFers will be too old to produce

oh, and why do the steelers

I still give the Pat's a strong lean over Steelers for team of the decade but it is clear that the Pat's are fading and with parity as it is in the NFL what is to stop them from being 13-3 next year or 6-10, the league is just built like that.

The Giants exposed New England a few years ago by letting it be known if you put pressure on Brady, he will turn into a pumpkin.

                          A few things:

                          1. First off, the OP undermines his own argument by name-calling and getting all juvenile with the whole "fukk everyone" and "Boston sux" baloney. Leave that in the schoolyard and just make your argument.

                          2. Continuing in that vein, it always makes me laugh when people call Brady cocky or arrogant... The guy is the opposite of that, he's as humble as I've ever seen any superstar in any sport. He's always the hardest worker on the team and a true leader of men. Love or hate the Pats, this guy says and does all the right things.

                          3. I agree that the era of the Pats as an elite team is over. This is the first time since pre-Brady that the Pats were clearly just an average team. They beat the bad teams, they lost to the good teams, and they have serious holes and issues to address.

                          4. It's clear that they've lost too many important pieces -- not just players who retired or who they let go (Bruschi, Harrison, Vrabel, Seymour, Samuel), but coaches and business-end guys. Losing Scott Pioli was big. And they keep losing coaches and assistants. The offense lacked focus and there was no one making adjustments all year long!

                          5. They might have a couple more runs in them, but it's gonna be an uphill battle now.
