I think the only NFC teams that can beat them are the Cardinals (if they get red-hot like last year, which doesn't seem likely at all right now) and the Saints (if their defense and offensive line get healthy.)
The Vikings offensive line has been playing terrible, their running game has gotten worse as the season went on, and their defense is vulnerable against any team that can withstand the pressure. The Packers don't have a good shot against the Cowboys in Dallas since they wouldn't be able to run on them, there will be tons of pressure on Rodgers, and their secondary can get blown up by any team that has a good passing game now that Harris is injured.
I'll give em as high as a 55% to make the Super Bowl.

No way. I give Dallas a good shot, but they can't be 55%. They have to win two games.
That's just how I see it. I would actually be a little shocked if Dallas loses to Minnesota for the reasons I gave. And I give the Cowboys a 60-70% shot of beating the Saints depending on if Sedrick Ellis, Jabari Greer, etc. are injured and an even higher chance of beating the Cardinals. (I would lower the 55% to about 52% since the Cardinals won and unlike the Packers, they would actually have a chance against the Cowboys.)
Let's put it this way, I have a bet on the Cowboys to make the Super Bowl at +450 odds and instead of hedging this week, I'll probably bet more on the ML. I think the Dallas ML against Minnesota is one of the bets of the year. I'll actually bet anyone here 50 SBR points on the ML as an even bet.

Green Bay beat Dallas 17-7. They'd definitely have a chance.

I actually think they have a 50% chance to go into Minny and win, but I think their odds of making the Super Bowl are less than 50%. 50% against MIN plus less than 50% against NO or more than 50% against Arizona. Either way, you're looking at a heck of a lot less than 55%.

here is a thread where nobody is wrong and it won't be until after the game to know who is right as surely game can go either way. Been Viking's fan all year with Brett there but Dallas fan for years.
Dallas wins otherwise I would bet you Kaps.

I think with the NFC we know what we have. With the AFC a lot of us started saying the Chargers were also a possible Super Bowl team. But with that... now lets see how the Chargers perform.
We could use a little more defense in the playoffs.... All the games went over last weekend?

yes sir my G's Picks....COWBOYS will be in the superbowl, but I don't see them winning as I have Colts in Superbowl as well and I don't see any team beating them
Will be rooting for Cowboys if they happen to play Colts of course, but don't see them beating the Colts

Guys most of you do not remember the days of the love hate days of the 49ers (when they were great) and Cowboys. I had a friend who was a big cowboy fan and one that wore a 49ers jersey... I think having Dallas coming on strong makes the playoffs more interesting... Do they win this weekend who really knows... I would really like to see the Chargers move forward...for weeks they have been coming on strong... Do the Colts have the defense to hold off teams past this round... we will see... The Colts have always had the offense... I see a lot of people on the colts, chargers, not much talk about an nfc team... Cowboys, Saints, Vikes...all have a shot..Cards??? not enough "d" but seem to have enough offense... Jets I would truely be stunned if they won the Super Bowl, and just surprised if they won another game this year.

problem w/ Cowboys used to be Romo couldn't win the big game, couldn't win a playoff game, blah blah
also, since Emmitt Smith left, they had not had consistent running game and also WRs have also been shaky and mediocore
This year, everything has changed...ROMO winning big games, including a playoff game and 2 December games, consistent running game, and solid WRs.
Defense has also helped by causing turnovers and Romo not throwing as many INTs, only 9 on season or 10.
This is why I believe Cowboys have a legit chance to make Superbowl
now everyone knows I am huge Cowboys fan, but I'm not the biggest homer ever I do not say they will win every week, trust me. Plus, I have already numerous times stated I think they lose to Indy
I am pointing out where they are weak in past and how they have improved and with the improvement in consistent running game and Romo less turnovers and better defesne, Cowboys have a good chance

The key to the Cowboys going any further might be penalties... Columbo needs to stop getting out of his stance on the "O" line and if they cut down to 4-5 a game might help alot. They seem to be hitting stride at the right time and could be the best match up this weekend.

they are def. playing their best right now as was GB. I said this last week that I felt winner of Cowboys/Eagles would win NFC and I will go by that theory. NO is just not as good as people believe they are. They really got lucky a few times or they would have more losses.
Vikings are good, but we will see how good Favre is this late in the season, also, if Dallas can stop AP, Favre will have to throw more making more mistakes
As for penalties, the O-Line for Dallas has more penalties, fall starts and holding, than any team last 3 years w/ Flozell Adams leading the way w/ over 30 Fall starts, less penalties would be amazing

If the Vikings Offensive line gives Favre enough time, Vikings win. If they don't Vikings lose.
