I'm just in shock, as I just got off chat with Tony of 5Dimes...
I have been a customer for years, and now things are just going so wrong!
I have made a complaint against 5D with SBR and OSGA, as I hope I can get some help in rectifying this my withdrawal situation...
Below are the details of my complaint:
I promptly requested a $200 withdrawal from my 5Dimes account via regular mail for a $15 fee on December 21st, 2009. Today is January 9th, 2009 and I still have not received my $200 MoneyGram Money Order from 5Dimes, as I have patiently waited and have been told by 5Dimes that it was sent out on approximately December 22nd, 2009. Well, at this point, I am very upset and stressed out as I was expecting to use that money for necessities for my family, such as rent, but I have been unable to do anything because I have still not received my withdrawal from 5Dimes. I have consistently been told by 5Dimes to wait more days, but I can not wait any longer. I feel as though 5Dimes should rectify this situation ASAP as my family and I have taken a severe financial burden over this situation.
Well, as I said earlier, I chatted with Tony of 5Dimes and he basically said "boo-hoo!" to my issue, as he definitely never took a class in Southern" hospitality or customer service. He said that he "does not want a customer who gambles with his families expenses money!" This statement was so far out of context, I am wonder what his IQ is, as I included information such as that in my complaint to "express" the urgency of the matter, not for it to be taken literally. Tony also said, that if I was questioning whether or not they actually even sent my money order, then talking to me was a "waste of time".
Not one time did he offer any type of complimentary bonus or even a free withdrawal next time because of all the inconvenience, and instead even ignored me during the chat conversation...

Christopher Akinyemi: I have made a formal complaint against 5Dimes with SBR and OSGA
Tony: then you've done all you need to do
Tony: no need for me to do anything
Christopher Akinyemi: I have not receieved my $200
Christopher Akinyemi: withdrawal
Tony: when the money order has been canceled by the issuer, which takes approximately 3 weeks
Tony: then the funds will be placed back into your account
Christopher Akinyemi: I have already waited approximately 3 weeks
Christopher Akinyemi: to receive the money order, yet it never came
Tony: and when did you notify us that you had not received the money order?
Christopher Akinyemi: I notified 5Dimes over the past 7 days
Christopher Akinyemi: multiple times
Tony: then you've got 14 days more to wait
Christopher Akinyemi: sometimes, even twice a day
Tony: as it takes 3 weeks to cancel a money order
Tony: you could notify us 15 times a day
Christopher Akinyemi: but I kept getting told to wait longer and longer for it to come
Tony: it still takes 3 weeks to cancel a money order
Christopher Akinyemi: so it never came
Tony: i wish it didn't
Tony: but it does
Tony: in the meantime, please confirm your address for me
Tony: if you have not already done so
Christopher Akinyemi: so for all of this inconvenience, you can't do anything for me
Christopher Akinyemi: when on your website, it shows 5-7 business days
Christopher Akinyemi: to receive your money order
Christopher Akinyemi: why do you advertise 5-7 business days?
Christopher Akinyemi: but tell me 3 weeks
Christopher Akinyemi: after you cancel it...
Christopher Akinyemi: that's over a MONTH!
Christopher Akinyemi: I want my MONEY, as Ernst has confirmed that the Money Order has NOT been cashed, so since you have canceled it as of today, I want my funds!
Christopher Akinyemi: so, you are ignoring me?...
Christopher Akinyemi: hello?
Christopher Akinyemi: I will be posting this conversation in the SBR Forum for others to see!
Christopher Akinyemi: this is REDICULOUS!
I will try to retrieve our second chat session and post it up, as this one does not express how Tony TRULY is!
