#37PT is great now! This week has seen many new records including record number of posts, log ins, points awarded and the best one of all is new forum sign ups.
After football is over SBR will take steps as suggested by the posters in a couple of previous threads on how to manage the increase in traffic to keep PT at its current high level. Probably limit the number of threads a user can start per day and other minor steps to cut down the insignificant threads.
One or two thin skinners might bolt along the way thats just the nature of forumville. The hardcore guys and the new guys who develop will keep the place great and growing at a manageable pace.Comment -

#39Pavy, for you and others who are pining for those who "choose" to leave, I feel for you.
If you can't find the positives on this site like all of the contests and solid posters who contribute countless handicapping insights designed to help us make money, you're not looking hard enough.
If being part of a "clique" is that important well...
And if you're idea of exciting content is swearing, posting in bad taste and drunken posting, I can see where you'd miss it.
I don't claim to speak for any poster other than me. But I bet if you took a poll among the forum member, I doubt if your friends across the street would be missed.
I'm just saying.
I know this will end up as fodder across this street but so be it.Comment -

#44I am not opposed to banishment of certain words. What I'm opposed is stubbornness in accepting being wrong. Accepting being wrong shows humility whereas arrogance brings down towers. Remember the Tower of Babel. When you try to build a gigantic tower that is not build on a solid foundation by people speaking in different languages it will all come tumbling down under its own weight.Comment -

better just to keep quiet and not post much at all except for a little safe stuff here and there
Even posting this for me right now I am feeling uneasy,
I feel like I really should just delete it and cancel the post
serious climate of fear, yeah. I'm with you brither though if that HELPS you at all...I know words don't help much.
There was a time within a long winter where my gf and her mom got stranded at a gas station on xmas eve (indy) and it was -26 with wind chill factor
I had to go rescue them but my car would only fit one other person
the backseat was Nitrous chambers and shit
I had to make a decision.
shit ain't no decision though today....

I left the Rx over them bringing SBG Global on as their top sponsor. I live part time in Costa Rica and man those guys are scum. They steal players money and joke about it at bars like its a game, like money stolen is sweeter than money earned. They truly enjoy being scum.
So its ok to leave a forum over their policy. Anyone else wants to bolt because SBR forbids the N word but allows cracker and faggot then I understand. They should and no hard feelings. I left my favorite place over their policy and started this one.
Bob's statement sums up things around this joint; "If you can't find the positives on this site like all of the contests and solid posters who contribute countless handicapping insights designed to help us make money, you're not looking hard enough."Comment -

#56I think this site will miss Bread the most in the UFC discussion and contests
the guy is money in that sport..one of the few guys I seriously think could supplement his income consistently wagering this sport
He did a great job with the contest and sometimes in fight discussion..he seemed to vanish the last couple fights..maybe he was watching it and having a good time
