just last year Joe Flacco won 2 Playoff games.

fact of the matter is, its rare for an nfl team to make the playoffs with a rookie.....because most rookies have to wait a year or two to become a starter.... but this trend is changing in the NFL

Obviously the Steelers won two titles and were a big run team for most of the decade...

when the Giants won they were 4th in the league in rushing and 21st in passsing offense in the league...

Indy and Pats obviously threw well...but people forget how good they running was also.

in fact in the Pats last super bowl they were MORE of a run team than Pass team... they were 7th in the league in running that year and 11th in Passing...

don't tell me Tampa Bay won the superbowl on the strength of brad johnson's arm or the Ravens won on the strength of Dilfer's arm...

so there you have the decade in super bowls and only 1 or 2 winners passed better than they ran..

Other than Flacco last year rookies tend to play poorly in their first playoff games, yes? Plus Cincy home crowd should be PUMPED. I think the sample size is too small....very few rookie qb's have started in playoff games because very few rookie qb's start period. and then they usually start on "bad/rebuilding type teams that don't make the playoffs...

I honestly doubt that people could list more than 5 rookies that started playoff games in the past 10 years. I know Ben Roethlisberger won his first one, I know Flacco won his first two, I know Ryan lost his first one..... who else?

by the way I think Carson Palmer's playoff resume is about 5 mins and 1 pass

its not like he is Tom Brady with playoff experience people
