Have an interview for this with a company I'll leave unnamed; they are talking some livable money (pretty damn decent while I go to school). It is an independent contractor position but as a closing agent I'm very familiar with how that works. I like to drive have all the equipment necessary (GPS, mobile internet, etc.) Nothing on ripoff report about them or anything. Thoughts?

Be sure you know all the costs/expenses. I worked an odd job as a courier for about 3 months in my early 20's. Had a nice enough car, had just quit a good job with a little money saved up, etc. They required I buy additional insurance through them to cover their liability in case i wrecked and destroyed a customer's product, etc. I also had to buy my own gas, which would run at least 3/4 of a tank each day if i worked a full day. After those two expenses, I usually found myself only making about $250 cash, which of course had no taxes withheld. It was easy work, just driving around all day, but I quit when I realized I was exhausted after 40 hours of driving a week and only $250 to show for it.Originally posted by stevek173Comment -

Interested to see which way it goes on the fuel; in the initial car I thought he said no reimbursment but on their paperwork I see something about the average east coast value being added to pay.
He did say something about insurance limits but nothing about it being through them. We'll see how that goes.Comment
