Creation of Sports Betting Task Force Awaits Minner's Signature

DOVER, Del. (AP)- State Rep. Vince Lofink and Gov. Ruth Ann Minner appear to be at odds over state gambling.
Minner has said she will not allow any bill to pass that would allow more gambling in Delaware. But Lofink is the co-chair of committee looking for ways to do just that.
Lofink's committee is examining how to bring sports betting to Delaware. A resolution setting up a sports betting task force is awaiting the governor's signature.
He says the task force would include state budget officials and representatives from the controller general's office and the finance secretary's office.
