    And the BAMA hype begins
I've been watching college football live for the past half hour and they haven't said one thing about texas except how Mclain is gonna take away McCoys scrambling option. All the media hype is on Alabama, they talk like bama is gonna blow them out of the water. It seems to me like Vegas is paying all these networks and analysts to hype this up which is good for them, but bad for the bama bettors when they are let down. GO HORNS!!!!!

Let me tell you what you need to read until the game starts:

Now the Cliff notes version from me:

In the last 10 years 5 times an SEC team played in the National Championship game (the last 3 ones consecutively). In all 5 they destroyed opposition and became national champions (that is #1 if you are not familiar with the term).

Now imagine yourself being a media person and reading about these stats 5-0. Why you wouldn't hype the best team on the field? Just think about it son..think about it.

I see ur point, but think about this, how about when Texas played Usc in the championship. I look at this situation the same way, all the hype was on USC, Vince young and the horns went on to victory. Very similar situation in my opinion. SON!!

I don't see a blowout, if in fact 10 or 14 points is even considered a blowout, as in last year and all the games mentioned above but one. I see a close, low scoring game that will be decided in the 4th quarter.

The SEC has had a couple great teams (Florida x 2) in the last decade. This is not one of them.

The SEC is not superior to any other conference as evidenced by their 5-4 bowl record including 2 wins against Northwestern and East Carolina, either of which could or should have been losses.

Bama already played their championship game and got revenge against Florida.

Texas is the play, 24-20. They have been waiting for this game for TWO years.

I am not telling you who is going to win. I'm just answering your question regarding the hype.

Alabama had trouble with Auburn as well. Both Tennessee and Auburn played well above there head to stay in those games. Similar games for Texas were A&M and Oklahoma (both better teams).

Note on Texas: Gave up 190 yards rushing against A&M. Don't see Texas shutting down Alabama running game.

Big question: Can Alabama keep the ball out of McCoy's hand as in the Florida game. Time of possesion was 2 to 1 in that game. Florida defense could not recover.

Sabian gets it done... Alabama by 10
Taking the over as well (using A&M game as the comparison)
